Midnight Snack
In Oklahoma when I was getting my growth harmone shots, Dad always made sure that I could get the extra needed 'umph' in my diet. So he started letting me have these "midnight snacks" (even though it was like 8 o'clock). Hey, I was excited about it, the very mention of my name in the same sentence as midnight made me feel all grown up. But they weren't all that great, I mean, sure I got to have cookies at night, but I also had to have one of Dad's special shakes. And this consisted of chocolate milk (usually Scandi-shake brand, yuck!) and a raw egg. Gross, I know, and Dad made me drink every last drop.
