Super Salad
For mom's birthday one year, we went to Olive Garden. It was great, we all loved going out to eat, because it only happened every once in a while. We all got seated and ordered our drinks. When the waitress returned the second time to get our actual order is when I made a mistake that I still get teased about to this day.
When she approached me and I ordered my steak, she asked, "Do you want super salad with that?"
I promptly told her, "Yes." And then when you all started laughing at me and the waitress gave me the funniest look, I realized that I must have said something dumb. Though, I didn't yet know what that was.
The waitress, probably feeling sorry for me, repeated herself amidst all of your laughter. "Would you like salad or soup?" Realizing what I did, I mumbled one of them to her. And now whenever we go to restaurants...
